Impartiality

Public Statement

AA Certification Ltd., its Directors, Managers, Staff and others involved in the Certification of Organisations fully understand the importance of impartiality in undertaking its Certification Activities.

AA Certification Ltd. will therefore ensure that in its dealings with clients or potential clients, all employees or other personnel involved in Certification Activities are, and will remain, impartial.

To ensure that impartiality is both maintained and can be demonstrated, AA Certification Ltd. has identified and risk assessed all relationships which may result in a conflict of interest or pose a threat to impartiality.

Corporate Governance

All AA Certification governing bodies are structured in such a way that no individual group of parties has a controlling influence on the functioning of a certification body.

(Impartiality) Be perceived to be impartial for the appropriateness of certification/registration

For a certification body to provide a reliable assessment, being impartial is most necessary. It is recognised that the source of revenue for a certification body is its client paying for certification and that this is a potential threat to impartiality. An impartial assessment standing on a neutral position not influenced by interests or other pressures is what is most concerned.

It is most important for AAC to be trusted by our client's customers or by the market and society that our assessment and certification/registration are impartial and neutral. This is achieved by ensuring impartiality through constant monitoring of conflicts of interests, structure to address those conflicts and organising a committee for impartiality consisting of external members. These enable auditors to perform appropriately without conflict of interest.

Commitment to Impartiality

We understand the importance of our mission to provide impartial and highly transparent assessment services for management system certifications/registrations.

Being in conformance to the international standards, specific requirements and related laws and regulatory requirements, we manage the interests that could have an influence on impartiality and ensure objective management system certification/registration activities.

Management of Impartiality

AAC understand the importance of impartiality in carrying out its management system certification activities, manages conflicts of interest and ensures the objectivity of its management system certification.

AA Certification is a private, limited company that is founded by its owners/directors. Funding will not be taken from any source that would affect the ability of AAC to undertake impartial and effective audits. AAC will not accept funding from sources that may be considered as exerting influence, e.g. money from disreputable businesses or unlawful activities.
