Every year an AAC assessor will visit to conduct an annual surveillance assessment ensuring your organisation is continually meeting the requirements of the standard. Surveillance audits are not necessarily a full assessment of your entire management system but should cover all aspects over three-year cycle. ![annual-surveillance@2x](https://www.aacertification.com/hs-fs/hubfs/annual-surveillance@2x.png?width=660&height=434&name=annual-surveillance@2x.png) Every third, typically 2-3months before the expiry of your certificate an AAC assessor will visit to conduct a recertification assessment in place of an annual surveillance. The recertification assessment is similar to a stage 2 assessment as it will be a full assessment encompassing your entire management system concluding with a new recommendation for certification.
